Black and White

Black & White Black and White This is my doom upon you. May your face be always held in shadow. Your own name shall be turned against you, that you shall have no peace. Selitos said those words when he was talking to Lanre, therefore Lanre is most certainly a man who has now lost his own visual identity and instead wears this curse like a hooded cloak. But Lanre has just told us that he is no longer who we think is and that he has a new and terrible name, ‘Haliax’. So who is it really hiding beneath the shadows hame? and is his true name Alaxel? Where does Encanis fit into things? Or Tarsus for that matter? And who is this Taborlin the Great to sport a similar ‘cloak of no particular colour’? These are difficult questions… but I think I have it down now :0) Let us start at the beginning with our original man Lanre. The cloak he has just been fitted for is only really there for visual effect and nothing more since he has already declared that no door can bar his passing, this revela...

Any Old Iron

Any Old Iron? Tehlu is said to have appeared to Perial as a being made entirely of fire or sunlight. This aligns to the same classical image that we see of him when he is displayed to the masses during the Seven days of high mourning in Tarbean. His opposite counterpart, Encanis, is similarly dressed to play the exact opposite part and so he appears to Kvothe in the colours of darkness and shadow. This simple analogy sums up the shape of the world at large with these two supreme powers representing the two ends of the monochrome spectrum that arcs between darkness and light and defines the difference between night and day. Everything else in the universe is naturally going to be lesser to these two semi-gods and will so be denoted by a lesser colour than these two extremes and will appear as a small speck coloured some neutral shade of grey, forever floating in between these dual paramiters of black and white. The Tehlin priesthood understand their station in life and so grey...

roadworks span

As above… So below. BOOK π When I wrote these next pages back in 2020 I had reached a point in my tinfoil where I could nearly count up to eight. 8 Cities, 8 Chandrian, 8 Angels and 8 Amyr… there might even be 8 Sithe, too, but they are not important here…yet. But if we are going to uncover the true shape of the world then we are going to need somewhere to stand. So it's finally time to go to The University. The Archives is one of the cornerstones of civilization which in another world (ours) would be regarded as one of the seven wonders, a dominant feat of engineering to dwarf all others. Sod Tinuë, all modern roads should lead to the Archives and so I think we had better start to begin drawing a few of my strings back together again for tangling together before knotting off at the present day. This is probably going to get a bit messy since I will, in part, be working backwards again, but this is also a real time deconstruction being built right now as I prepare to map the insid...
