Now without going into too much theology, this makes Aleph a God. 

Now the first rule of the universe is that  For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction. And that law dictates that God must always have a twin, usually called the Devil. Because God is light and you cannot have a light without making a shadow, shadow and darkness are the colours of the devils house. And between them these two gods combine to form everything* except the moon. Alephs counterpart has had a few names but You know him best as the cthaeh. They are the two ends or the same piece of string. Think of them as light and dark, One and zero. Alpha and omega Or even the ball and the cup...It's all the same thing really. Two gods.  Perfectly balanced. But only One moon. 
Aleph is the god who appeared in Perial's dream as a being 'made entirely of fire or sunshine:. Agents of darkness usually appear suitably clad in the colours of the opposition.
Now If Aleph wanted a chat with Perial, Why didn't he just turn up at her door ? Because God's are noncorporeal beings who can only interact with the world of flesh and blood , that's why. It's a bit like god is a programmer who works through... software. And so if he wanted to get physically  interactive in the world he had spun then he would need to develop some hardware, and that why he needed Tehlu to act as his avatar in Temerant. And thats why he needed to use Perial as his link.

He had to change her a bit to make her body fit for purpose but she said she was willing so it was an act born of love. Whereas folk like Poor rob the rhintA got raped. 'a man shouldn't lie with a woman save in love' she said . And already had the right bits to give birth and gods dream touch (with his great glowing penis) allowed her body to conceive speed up the process and between them they Produced a special child with a link to Aleph on his astral plane AND a link to  the earth on which he would walk to being everyone in it gods justice.  Barefoot. Thus Tehlu could join in physical battle with the avatars of darkness who were already looses upon the land. 
Encanis had no such link being a possession this the earth blackened beneath his feet.
Now. That has laid a lot of the groundwork for chapter 3 but to wind up Perial's story we have to assume one thing. That whilst she still has her Her golden rings that are the source of gods power then her newfound special baby making powers  were never rescinded and since her body has experienced making special babies once... Then she can probably do it again if she so wished to. Perhaps a daughter this time. The golden gift that keeps on giving means that Perial will never need a man mother again. Unlike everyone else in the world* . Except the Adem of course. It might be best to assume that until now parthgenic reproduction was the norm in Ergen but that's tricky.

Tehlu had a threefold task. To offer everyone the choice of path. To rid the land of demons and to most importantly tostop them from coming back again. Oh, and to punish the wicked, of course.
He tells us how that punishment was melted out using three touches of iron and a renaming ceremony. But he also tells us what this punishment will mean to them in the longer term, ie from this day forth.. From now on man and woman are each others fitting punishment which means they are to be doomed to be with each other (if they don't want mankind to die out that is). The Wicked men and the wicked womens new fate is to become two halves of the whole.penny. From this day forth reproduction will be locked into a two man project. If they are to survive as a species they must learn to respect each other as equals. 
Being treated different created a different species. The adem.
That's the plan anyway. Demons already had 2000 years to grow their own avatars, women having demon babies. Quite these are not rhinta B possessions but rhinta C level. They cannot be sent back if they came from here in the first place. So whilst he ousted those in the womb, the mothers were now infected and needed special treatment. Tehlu talked to these ones a bit longer this creating a new tier amongst everyone else. Prolly about 1/8 no


Gods live on the other side of the four doors of the mind. Death, forgetting, madness or sleep. They can only come at you in your dreams and/or nightmares.
The dark side makes demons out of men the light side makes angels. 
And that's enough about god's for now. Posession
After being touched by a god, the evidence is left within your eyes and Perial's eyes were brightened. After Kvothe's visit to Cthaeh Felurian examined his eyes carefully to see if they held any shadows, but thankfully they were still clear so  no deal had been struck. apparently. 
Unkile when Lanre made a deal with the cthaeh by trading his  lightness for dark. As per daeonica.
When he was shaping men into angels , we get to see the whole process and yes, aleph did indeed do  something to their Ruach eyes.

Which is how we see Perial as she made her deal with light forces. She said she would help him understand what it is to be a man by allowing him to create a fleshy extension of himself through her. SHe allowed her god to possess her body and together they willed Menda into existence. Menda was half god and half man. A titan And Menda which is Ad(n)em backwards.





Magwyn , when looking for Kvothe's three part name  also looked at these three things. 
Everyone in the world got hit three times by iron
Perial only got touched once.
Those who refused to cross got 2
Fortunately, we have already read about rhinta so we have an inkling how such living things are made more of a man or less of a man by the touch of another. It's called possession and so that's a πece.. Stones for gaming, life for shaping. Fox and hare.
The dividing line penny is what god called the choice of path. The Adem call this line the lethani.

All must choose which side to walk on.

Perial's deal with god was a good one. She didn't need to cross his line because she was already there. Those who walked the line were allowed to stay there but those from the other side of ecame locked. and her reward was an eternal lifetime supply of babies. To be unlocked for ever. Everyone else  was locked into a new shape, WOMB
This was to stop an influx of birth demons. A very bad thing which needed drastic action.  Do rape piece now.

Big Brother

Big Brother Deeper and Deeper The University is Old. Elodin tells us of it being built on the site of a previous university, and even hints at a university before then. This site has always been a seat of learning, maybe even as far back as the days of Lady Lyra of Belen who once learnt the name of the wind and walked these streets like a tiny god. Belen is where Teccam has built the current university around the four plate door and the archives are the walls that keep this secret hidden. the archives themselves were built by the university’s secret amyr members , probably by using the name of stone since naming is the basis of all power and this is an edifice to their prowess. It is the most impressive building in the world, Caluptena excepted…perhaps. We hear nothing of it’s construction but it has a purpose and it is perfect at it’s job. No windows, Only one door* it is a fortress to the preservation of knowledge and none are allowed in who’s names aren’t in the book. Dangerous thin...

Pub Crawl

PubCrawl The Rising Sun. On the wall in Pat’s office there must be a map of the Waystone Inn since all of the individual mentions of the pubs layout correlate perfectly with each other and thus to this master architects blueprint. It is a device used by the writer so that he doesn’t get confused one day and accidently have someone go through a door that isn’t there or have the sun rising in the West. The Sun of Temerant rises in the East, just like in our world, although that was a very small crumb to finally track down in a very big book. But find it I did and that gives us a place to start our pub crawl and to see if we cannot recreate Pat’s clever map for ourselves. Long after I had first fallen down the rabbit hole, and my re-reads were somewhere in double figures, I started to collect notes for easy reference, I can barely make sense of my own scrawl now but they aren’t that important really once you learn your way around.
