old cob Lyra lanre

Lyra was

By day he was a good king who was tirelessly helping the folk or the land he loved and everyone was happy with his rule, but at night, when all the world was asleep, except him of course, and the moon wasn't there to watch him , he undid all the good deeds of the day with terrible acts of violence.

Big Brother

8 ~ Big Brother Deeper and Deeper The University is Old. Elodin tells us of it being built on the site of a previous university, and even hints at a university before then. This site has always been a seat of learning, maybe even as far back as the days of Lady Lyra of Belen who once learnt the name of the wind and walked these streets like a tiny god. Belen is where Teccam has built the current university around the four plate door and the archives are the walls that keep this secret hidden. the archives themselves were built by the university’s secret amyr members , probably by using the name of stone since naming is the basis of all power and this is an edifice to their prowess. No windows, Only one door* it is a fortress to the preservation of knowledge and none are allowed in who’s names aren’t in the book. Dangerous ...

Long after I had first fallen down the rabbit hole, and my re-reads were somewhere in double figures, I started to collect notes for easy reference, I can barely make sense of my own scrawl now but they aren’t that important really once you learn your way around. It was during one of these re-reads that I jotted down all...

It wasn't much of a church to begin with, but then Newarre wasn't much of a town. It didn't take long to burn down and It was already a lost cause before the first of the townsfolk arrived on the scene "It were Blue, I tell you." Insisted Old Cob, " "Blue! and it lit up the sky like a beacon for miles around. Everyone must have seen it! I saw it meself with my own eyes from Shep's front porch. ." "Now Really, Cob" said Hap shovelling another shovelfful of dirt towards the edge of the flames, "This hain't a time to be spinning yarn. 'how much did you drink at the wake last night? "  "You tell him Jake, tell him what we saw."  Jake looked uncomfortable. Staring daggers at his friend. "Aye, " Jake admitted "it did look a bit Blue at first, but after that lightning struck it were just normal fire again." "After? I thought it were the lightning what started it" "Well I only saw ...
